Here at NRG Panel we are delighted to announce that we are the first company in Ireland to achieve an SCS ISO accreditation in Quality Management, Health and Safety and Environmental for both supply and installation of solar panels and heat pumps.
This a huge milestone for NRG Panel. Achieving one SCS ISO accreditation is impressive but, all three is extremely rare within our industry.
We owe this to all our dedicated staff from agents to installers, who have worked tirelessly to achieve this.
Company directors Ollie and Conal want to extend their thanks to each and every one of the NRG Panel team, without them this wouldn’t be possible.
To give you a synopsis of what this means for you, our customers:

The ISO 9001:2015 is a standard for the “Quality Management System”. The Scope of activities covered by this certificate are defined as Survey, Design, Supply and Installation of Sustainable Power and Heating Solutions for Domestic & Commercial Clients.
The Quality management system principles covered by this cert mean that:
Our company has been recognised for adhering to 8 quality management principles. These include a focus on customers, engagement of people and effective management of relationships. This puts you, the customer at the very heart of everything we do. Decisions are based on the evidence we collect; we use a process approach and thanks to effective leadership we are continually improving.
SCS outlines the benefits of ISO 9001 certification. After successful completion of an audit against the ISO 9001 standard this certification has allowed us to develop and enhance our performance. It also recognises that we have attained a high level of service when bidding for contracts. Achievement of this cert means you can depend on our service. This is because we have been recognised as being an efficient operation who meet statutory and regulatory requirements, with the ability to reach new markets and identify and address risks.
ISO 14001:2015 is an independent assessment which specifies the requirements for an environmental management system. This recognises that our company is dedicated to enhancing its environmental performance. Achievement of this certificate demonstrates that we are committed to managing our environmental responsibilities in a systematic manner and ensures that you can be confident of our policy in relation to adhering to the environmental pillar of sustainability.
The Scope of activities covered by this certificate are defined as Survey, Design, Supply and Installation of Sustainable Power and Heating Solutions for Domestic & Commercial Clients
What this means is that you can be sure that we are demonstrating conformance and are fulfilling policy commitments. We are continually improving against specific targets in order to meet our overall objectives Because this assessment is completely independent, it means that you can rest assured that we have a competitive edge over non-certified businesses when invited to tender. We have also been recognised as a company who strives for continual improvement which in turn results in a more effective use of raw material which ultimately leads to a reduction in cost for our consumer.
NSAI have an insightful page on environment management systems which outlines what and who it is for along with the benefits.
As we have met this standard we are part of a culture which is transforming how we interact with the environment by cutting down on our waste, using and pioneering renewable resources and ultimately advocating for Ireland’s Climate Action Plan.
Health and safety is of paramount importance within our organisation. Attainment of ISO 45001 certification means that you can be confident that we adhere to a recognised Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS).
What this means is that we promote a safe and healthy working environment. This is achieved by using a suitable framework to identify and control our OHSMS, thereby improving our overall performance.
At NRG we have the ability to identify the hazards and assess the occupational health and safety risks related to our activities and services. We are then able to put in place the controls necessary to set clear objectives, fulfil our legal requirements and ultimately improve our performance in relation to health and safety.
NSAI give more detail on the standards which this accreditation demonstrates in relation to the context of the company and the policies which underpin the objectives and direction of the organisation. Achievement of this certificate recognises a culture of participation, consultation and leadership, performance evaluation and effective management review.
